Justice For All
During the 2008 presidential election, and even for a lengthy period following, Democrats and other ankle-biters had fabricated a series of completely bogus and frivolous ethics complaints against Sarah Palin. The ethics complaints ranged everywhere from the Republican Party spending money on clothes for her to campaign in to talking with reporters to promoting a clothing brand by wearing the company’s arctic gear in the harsh Alaskan weather. There are, so far, a total of twenty-seven ethics complaints against Governor Palin, and, so far, twenty-six of those complaints have been dismissed.
Of course those who filed a majority of these complaints don’t actually believe she violated any ethics law. These complaints were purely for political gain. First, they were devised to portray her as the typical, corrupt elected official that has assisted in the transformation of the word “politician” to a dirty word. This tactic has certainly been effective… to the uneducated, close-minded portion of American voters that already own a “Sarah Palin is a C*nt” t-shirt. Second, they were concocted to bankrupt the Palin family. The legal fees add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Needless to say, it became difficult for the Palin’s to keep up financially with the unmerited legal fees. In response, the governor’s large and faithful support base created a legal defense fund for her. The original defense fund, which was similar to Senator John Kerry’s and President Bill Clinton’s, was questioned and successfully terminated. A new legal defense fund was soon established: The Alaska Fund Trust. This is the “official legal fund” for Sarah Palin. However, the liberal ankle-biters were deeply annoyed by the fact that Governor Palin wanted to defend herself from the abuses of the ethics reform she had championed and that there were actually people who wanted to aid in her defense.
The liberals found a problem with the word “official” in describing the Alaska Fund Trust. The use of this word, the investigators (that happened to have worked with Barack Obama at one point and another who financially supported Alaskan Democratic candidates for public office) believed, breached the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Now, the Trust must return all donations that the defense fund raised during Palin’s time as governor.
Sarah Palin acted accurately by holding confidence on a crew of proficient trust lawyers to establish the Trust. Governor Palin made it known that she would only support the creation of the Trust if its creation was lawful. As far as Palin is concerned, when the Trust was established, she was under the impression that it was done so lawfully.
The only unethical acts going on in Alaska are the abuses of ethics reform and the justice system as a means of destruction of political enemies. There is no doubt in my mind that Sarah Palin’s name will soon be cleared of any wrongdoing in this ethics “violation.”
Please, bring justice to Governor Palin and donate money to the Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund and help her kick these liberal ankle-biters to the curb!
